Hi Everyone,

I picked up my Exmark Viking walk-behind mower in 2014 and it’s developed an electrical issue. In order for me to turn on the motor, I need to have the safety on the handles depressed – even if the parking brake is on and the blades are disengaged. Has anyone had a similar experience with their unit?

Hello Michael,

I would suggest unplugging your unit and taking a close look at all the jacks – I had an electrical problem as well, with similar symptoms and it turned out to be an issue with the module. If you’ve repaired any switches in the past, make sure that they’ve been replaced with the NO (normally open) switch and not the NC one. If none of these fix the issue, take the unit to an authorized service center.
